Nick followed the long pathway from the street and turned right onto another pathway which was all leading to the same place; the beach. It had been a while since he'd even stepped foot onto the sand and he missed it. Sitting alone, an umbrella overhead and looking out onto the water; enjoying the sunset and the serenity of it all. The waves made melodramatic sounds on the coast, high tide came and went and so did the stars before he would stand up, announce his presence with a low growl and then walk back up the shore to the same beaten pathway. That was over a year ago. His tastes had changed and his feelings did as well. He was no longer confused about the person he wanted to be with; wait, that's wrong. The gender he wanted to be with would be more precise.[/size]
He walked further along that narrow walkway to a bend that increased in size as you walked further, rock lining the path as though some underpaid landscapist had designed this area to be peaceful and well-known, which obviously it had failed to do. His breath was slightly paced faster than it was when he'd first started his walk from the house and now the sun was beating down on his neck; small droplets of sweat were forming. He stopped when he reached the rocky edge of the beach; a shadow of the tent just feet away from him lined the outskirts of gorgeously yellowed sand that glimmered silver from a distance. He glanced to his left to see a tree gently bending to the tune of the wind's song, leaves rustling as he squinted at the branches.
He's always been washed with a sensible calming feeling when he looked out onto the water though. His stress would be lifted off his shoulders as he decended himself down onto the warm sand. He pulled his sandals off and stuck them in the small bag he'd brought with them and toed the sand in front of him "Seems like I haven't been here in ages." He commented to nobody but himself; his eyes still glued to the artistic form of the waves crashing down onto the still tidal. He felt at home, even though he'd lived with a group of people for so long; his heart was in the center of that beautiful ocean that seemed to move in time with himself. He finally found a good spot, away from everyone, and laid his stuff down. A deep sigh left his lips and the boy leaned back and placed himself in the crevices of the sand that formed itself to shape the young boys body. And his eyes never left that array of blues and greens in front of him.
